Did you know that diseases of the heart are the No. 1 killer in America, and stroke is the No. 4 killer? The American Heart Association strives to teach people about healthy hearts to prevent disabilities and death.
The Health, Physical Education & Wellness Club is also striving to teach Monroe Community College about the importance of having a healthy heart. The club is hosting a 3 on 3 basketball tournament May 1st from 4-6 pm on Monagan Court in the Stabins Physical Education Complex (building 10). The cost is $25 per team (3-4 people on a team) and all proceeds go to the American Heart Association in the Rochester area.
Registration forms can be picked up at Melissa Fromm’s office 10-110. Registration forms, signed waivers and $25 cash need to be handed in to Melissa Fromm by April 24th. Anyone registering after that the 24th will jump to $40 a team and can be signed up at the door May 1st.
Donations will be accepted if you do not wish to participate in the tournament. Hope to see you all there!
