Eat Well Live Well Is Coming Back

The Wellness Team in conjunction with Human Resources is bringing the Wegman’s Eat Well Live Well (EW/LW) program back. We will be joining in the community kick off that starts Sunday, March 2, and the program will run until Saturday, April 26. In an effort to be sustainable, we ask that if you still have last year’s pedometer, that you use that one.  For new employees, this is a program that allows you to set personal goals related to how many steps you take on a daily basis, how many servings of fruits and vegetables we consume every day, and if you choose to indicate how many meals in which you utilize the half plate concept.  You log in either daily or once a week for 8 weeks.  A pedometer is provided if you need one, but fit bits and other measuring devices are also useful. We hope to have prizes for participants. We will not be having any meetings with the short time frame, but if you have any questions about the program or joining the program, please feel to contact Craig Rand at X2859 or email him at <mailto:crand@monroecc.edu>. So start to organize your teams, challenge another team to an end of year healthy meal, and let’s hope that with the start of the program that spring is around the corner. Hope you will come and join the fun that the college community always appears to have with this wellness event. See you moving around the campus.

Be well.
