Inaugural SUNY Thought Leaders Event "Erasing Hate" Video Available Online

According to SUNY, "In 1998, Matthew Shepard's death rocked the nation. Matthew's parents, Judy and Dennis Shepard, in the face of their own grief, helped lead the fight to change minds and change laws to protect LGBTQ people. In 2019, with landmark decisions on equality before the U.S. Supreme Court and an unprecedented attempt to roll back hard-fought rights on both the state and national level, SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson [joined] Judy and Dennis Shepard ... for a personal and impactful conversation about Matthew's legacy, how far we've come, and all we stand to lose.

The video of the Erasing Hate, the inaugural SUNY thought leaders event held on November 7, is now available online. (The discussion begins at approximately 6 minutes and 30 seconds into the video.)
