NISOD Innovation Abstracts - Vol. XXIX, No. 17


In “A Pile of Rocks,” Carol G. Gomez, Professor Fine Art, at the University of Texas at Brownsville/Texas Southmost College, describes a student project—students assisted by visiting artists, collaboratively working to design and construct a unique serpent-shaped piece in the Rancho del Cielo to help interest the public in works of art. What the teachers and students took away from that project was unexpected with important lessons learned.
