A Note from Gretta, Your Therapy Dog

Welcome and Welcome Back—

For those of you who haven’t yet met me, my name is Gretta, and I am your therapy dog!  My mom is Kathy O’Shea, who has taught in the English/Philosophy Department forever, and she trained with me to get me certified so I could spend my days with all of you.

I go to all of Mom’s classes, will be spending time in the LeRoy V. Good Library, Advising Center, Counseling Center, and Guon Child Care Center, and will be the guest at many events this semester.

I walk the halls a lot; Mom goes early to class so I can see as many people as possible. Although you cannot give me treats, we can give one another lots of love. My other main job is to alleviate some of your stress, and I look forward to doing that for a whole lot of you this semester.

By the way, my 4th birthday is Wednesday, so if you see me, I’d love a happy birthday hug.

Have a great week, and I’ll write again soon.

Love,

Gretta and Mom (Kathy)

P.S. I’m sneaking this picture of me after playing outside with my brother Ollie. Just wanted you to see how muddy I got, in case you thought I was always groomed and well-behaved. Mom wasn’t so happy!
