October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month

National Cyber Security Awareness Month was created as a collaborative effort between government and industry to raise awareness and educate Americans about cyber security and to increase the resiliency of the Nation and its cyber infrastructure.

Cyber security involves protecting the information and systems we rely on every day—whether at home, work or school. With the increasing volume and sophistication of cyber security threats–including targeting phishing scams, data theft, and other online vulnerabilities–demand that we remain vigilant about securing our systems and information.

Cyber security begins with a simple message for everyone using the Internet:  STOP. THINK. CONNECT. Take security and safety precautions, understand the consequences of your actions and behaviors online and enjoy the benefits of the Internet.  Everyone has to play a role in cyber security today, it is our shared responsibility.

Throughout the month of October, ETS will be posting cyber security tips to offer awareness and advice to cyber security concerns.
