College Readiness Conversation

On March 19th, Annette Leopard, Judi Salsburg Taylor, Elizabeth Johnston, and Pamela Emigh-Murphy were invited to speak with the high school teachers from the Phelps-Clifton Springs School District regarding college readiness. The MCC faculty led an excellent discussing sharing the perspectives of college faculty on entering students, specifically addressing levels of readiness in reading, writing, math levels, study strategies, time management, and life skills. The high school teachers openly engaged in discussion and left with a sense of camaraderie and a desire to collaboratively work to address these issues. Thank you to Annette, Judy, Elizabeth, and Pam for their time, expertise, and finesse, and for beginning these very valuable conversations.
