“The Teacher as Performer” at the TCC

Teaching is one of the purest forms of performance. To be effective, teachers must present material in meaningful, creative ways to an audience – students.  The Teaching & Creativity Center will offer “The Teacher as Performer,” a conversation on techniques to develop your talents as a performer. Through active discussion and interactive exercises, you’ll learn how to develop your voice, integrate physicality and emotion into course material, make lectures more exciting, and improvise teachable moments. This conversation will be facilitated by Heather Fox, theater instructor in VAPA.

At the Brighton TCC, 2-315, the conversation will take place from noon to 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, and from 3:30 to 4:20 on Thursday, April 30. RSVP to Gene Marino, <<mailto:emarino@monroecc.edu>>.

At the Damon TCC, Room 5091, the conversation will take place from noon to 12:50 on Wednesday, May 6.
