MCC Reaches Level 5 Emergency Response at 5 p.m., Bring Home Items from Your Office that You May Need

We at MCC, are working diligently to prioritize the health and safety of our students and employees while proceeding with our core service of teaching and learning in distance modalities.

To that end, administrators and department supervisors are working as quickly as possible to determine those positions/employees for which a campus presence is required (i.e., "critical employees"). That list will be finalized this morning and conveyed to you today by your department supervisor. (This article may also be updated with additional information if you would like to check back at the end of the day.)

Position categories during a Level 5 emergency, the level to which we switch at 5 p.m. today, are as follows:

  • Critical with a campus presence required
  • Assigned to work remotely, or
  • Not able to work at either the campus or at home but remaining connected to campus.

The preferred method is to submit an online request using this link:
https://employees.monroecc.edu/webdbs/telecommute.nsf/By+Employee?OpenView

If needed, please find attached pdf of the MCC's Temporary Telecommuting Request and Agreement Form.

Employees assigned to work remotely do not have to submit the form. Employees who want to request permission to telecommute will need to complete the form and submit it to Human Resources.

To repeat, MCC shifts to Level 5 (meaning limited on-site staff and expanded telecommuting) at 5 p.m. today, March 18th. BRING WHAT YOU REQUIRE FROM YOUR OFFICE BEFORE YOU DEPART CAMPUS TODAY.

Thank you all for your support, leadership, and commitment to continuing the work of the College while keeping each other safe.
