Best-selling Author Offers Workshop


Dave Pelzer, a #1 New York Times and International Best Selling Author and Pulitzer Prize Nominee, will be making an appearance on the Brighton campus on Wednesday, October 20th to share his life story and offer inspiration.

This well-known author is no stranger to the MCC classroom. For years, our students have been enriching their minds through his literature and words of wisdom. His works include: A Child Called It, The Lost Boy, A Man Named Dave, The Privilege of Youth, Help Yourself and Life Lessons.

He will be offering two "Help Yourself Workshops" on Wednesday, October 20, 2004 in the MCC Theatre, Bldg. 4.

The first one is Noon to 2:00pm and is open to all MCC college students, faculty and staff but is not open to the public. There will be a short break at 12:50pm for students who must leave for class. The second one is 7:00pm - 9:00pm and is open to the public and the MCC community. THERE WILL BE A BOOK SIGNING IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING BOTH PRESENTATIONS.

MCC Students, Faculty and Staff: Free
Other College Students with ID: $3.00
Rochester Community: $ 8.00

Even though the cost is free to the MCC community, TICKETS ARE REQUIRED FOR ENTRY. They are available at the Brighton Campus Center Service Desk, or the Damon Campus Bookstore.

PLEASE NOTE: BOTH OF THESE WORKSHOPS ARE RECOMMENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES AND ARE FOR AGES 17 AND OLDER ONLY!
