Diane Cecero Named Athena Finalist

Please join me in congratulating Diane Cecero, general counsel, on being named one of 19 finalists for the prestigious Athena Award, given annually by the Women's Council, an affiliate organization of the Rochester Business Alliance.

Diane and all of the finalists will be feted and the winner announced at the 23rd Annual Athena Award luncheon, Thursda
y, Jan. 22, 2009 at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. The Athena Award is given to a local professional woman who has demonstrated significant achievements in business, community service and the professional advancement of women. It’s certainly easy to see why Diane is a finalist.

Diane is active in the community, having served on the boards of LeMoyne College, Alternatives for Battered Women, Our Lady of Mercy High School, Kids Adjusting Through Support (KATS), the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys (GRAWA), Volunteer Legal Services (VLSP) and the Monroe County Bar Association.

Past recipients of the Athena Award include Ruth A. Lawrence, Patricia Malgieri, G. Jean Howard, Carolyn Portanova, Ursula M. Burns, Dr. Elizabeth McAnarney and Sandra A. Parker.

Congratulations, Diane. We are pleased for you and proud that you are part of the MCC family.
