PSTF Video Production Wins LEVA Shield Award

“Cyberbullying,” a video produced by John Frontuto and Daren Hammond at the Public Safety Training Facility, earned the team a national Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Video Association (LEVA) Shield Award. Their 13-minute video was created to train families and teachers on how to protect children from cyberbullying. The video was produced with cooperation by Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks and New York State Senator Joe Robach.
The project was a result of a local cyberbullying conference paid for by a New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Grant. The 2009 Shield Awards winners were announced at the recent 20th Anniversary Training Conference in Ft. Worth, Texas. The Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association is a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of video training and promoting the use of state-of-the-art, effective equipment in the law enforcement and emergency services community.
