MCC will host the ITC Audioconference entitled "The BeTA Project (Better Teaching Through Assessment)" scheduled for Tuesday, February 21 from 2:00-3:00 in the Board Lounge. Presenter Stephanie Booth is the Associate Provost at Kent State University. The U.S. Department of Education Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) awarded a major grant to the TLT Group and Kent State University to support the development of better assessment strategies for gathering student feedback (online multi-tiered instrument) about courses and faculty. The BeTA project is developing training materials, model software, templates, survey items and model policies. Booth will describe the BeTA project and Kent State University's participation in it.
