On Thursday, January 24, 2008, distinguished Gartner Education Analyst, Dr. Michael Zastrocky, met with ETS staff to discuss national educational technology research trends and emerging learning technologies for higher education. Dr. Zastrocky is a vice president and research director at Gartner Research where he specializes in higher education, including distributed learning/e-learning, administrative computing issues, academic computing on campus, networking and telecommunications and strategic planning. Dr. Jeffrey Bartkovich, vice president, ETS noted, “It was an honor to have one of the premier Gartner technology analysts—and former Educause vice president—share his insights with us and engage with ETS staff on a one-on-one basis. We are grateful to Steve Bonacci, MCC’s Gartner liaison, for his assistance in making this visit possible.”
