Hold the Date: National Wear Red Day at MCC, Friday February 6, 2009

Please mark your calendar for “GO RED FOR WOMEN” Day, Friday, February 6, 2009 and watch for further information in the Trib in January.

The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) sponsors this annual event to support the American Heart Association’s groundbreaking national movement designed to help raise women’s awareness of cardiovascular disease and empower women to reduce their risk. Too few people realize that heart disease is the No.1 killer of women – and of men – but the good news is that heart disease can largely be prevented. To get more facts about Women and Heart Disease go to https://www.goredforwomen.org

The AAWCC Community Service Committee members want to thank you in advance for your support to encourage women to take charge of their heart health. Co-Chairs this year are Denee J. Martin (VaPA) 292-2000 x6964 and Catharine Ganze-Smith (English/Philosophy) x3372. Please contact them with questions or to volunteer to help.

We look forward to seeing “RED” Friday, February 6.
