On Wednesday, November 18, 2009, the Admissions Office sponsored a workshop titled, “College 101 for Parents.” This workshop provided an overview of the college planning process, including seven breakout sessions with a variety of topics, and was attended by over 160 visitors. These visitors were primarily parents of current high school juniors. A show of hands indicated three quarters of the visitors had not visited MCC before.
The next “College 101 for Parents” workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. This workshop will focus exclusively on Financial Aid and Scholarships.
