Shawl Dance and Hoop Dance
A Lakota Elder once said: "Many of you who dance...know that it is the highest form of enjoyment. Whoever dances is never sick...dancing can make your disposition good. You will keep your body well. If someone does not do this, I do not know why he is on this earth. While you are alive, you give homage to the Great Spirit".
In keeping with this spirit, you are invited to 3 weekly sessions to learn the Butterfly (shawl) Dance and Hoop Dance. Facilitated by Daystar/Rosalie Jones, you will learn basic steps and floor patterns of these dances. Come and celebrate Spring 2020!
