Students Needed: Community College Citizen Preparedness Program FEMA Pilot


Homeland Security Management Institute (HSMI) will be presenting a two-hour pilot program on Community College Citizen Preparedness at the Public Safety Training Facility, 1190 Scottsville Rd., room 117B, from 10am to 12pm on May 27th, 2010.  This program is part of a new initiative by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, specifically designed for students about the type of environmental and physical threats that plague society and recommendations to minimize adverse effects.  Topics such as disaster preparedness, sheltering in place, evacuation, special needs and companion animal care will be discussed.  If you are interested in attending please contact Shelia Manns at 753-3921 or <mailto:smanns@monroecc.edu> as seating is limited.
