Power of Diversity Presentation to be Web Cast to DCC


Johnnetta B. Cole, Ph.D., African American pioneer in higher education, will speak on “The Power of Diversity” on Friday, Nov. 4, College Hour, in the MCC Theater, Bldg. 4. The presentation will also be Web cast to room 4151 at the Damon City Campus. Students and Employees may also view the presentation via Instructional Technologies’ Video-On-Line Web page and the Digital Signage Network at the Brighton Campus.

Dr. Cole serves as president of Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, N.C. and as chair of the United Way of America Board of Trustees. Her presentation, hosted by the Diversity Council, will launch the Alice Holloway Young, Ed.D. Diversity Series. The series aims to celebrate and explore issues of diversity at the college and may include other events such art exhibits and musical and performing arts performances in upcoming years.

Be part of this important, historic event! Tickets are required for entry into the theater (free of charge) and are available NOW at the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center Information and Services Desk.
