Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the Americas. It is known as “fútbol” in many Latin American countries. The 1st World Cup took place in Uruguay from July 13 - July 30, 1930. Uruguay won, Argentina was the runner up and USA came in third.
In celebration of Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month, the Latino Empowerment Network (LEN) and Diversity Council are sponsoring a Soccer Clinic by Nelson Cupello, MCC Men’s Soccer Coach. Faculty, staff and students are welcomed. Please join us for this exciting event.
