IMPORTANT: Setting the new Employees page as your Web home

And so we’re live with our whole new .edu!

We know this is a big change for the College, and we’re confident that, with its focused content, strong visual design and branding, conversational language, and easy accessibility via phones and other mobile devices, the new www.monroecc.edu will more effectively meet the needs of our main Web audience of prospective students.

We particularly hope you’re finding the new Employees page (found at www.monroecc.edu/employees and via the “Employees” button in footer of every Web page across the site) helpful. It pulls the most-used information and links (like a newly-expanded A to Z index and the master course schedule) into a one central location, making it as easy as possible to find all the tools you need.

To make the most of this new “one stop” Employees page, and to make sure you always have the resource right at your fingertips, we’d suggest making the Employees page your browser home page. Simply go into your browser’s settings, type in www.monroecc.edu/employees as your home page URL, and save (see specific directions for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome). Now when you open your browser, or you hit the Home button, the Employees page will be where you start your day on the Web!

We will continue to be working on the Web in the coming days. As you move around and become more familiar with the new pages, please do let us know if you encounter any broken links or pages.

· For page breaks or issues: Call 292-TECH or go to myMCC.monroecc.edu and, on the Tech tab, select “Report a Technology Problem/Incident on the right. Under “Report an Incident” click “Other Tech Problem.” Please include as much detail on the break/issue– including the URLs of the broken page/link and the correct page to be linked, if you know it – as possible.

· For Current Students or Employee landing pages suggestions: email landingpages@monroecc.edu.

Many thanks to all who have worked on this project, and to the MCC community as a whole, for your support as we moved this Web Re-envision Project forward. As the Web and digital continues to grow in its role as a powerful, central strategic communication vehicle, we appreciate all of the work, time, thought and support from faculty, staff, and students to make our Web the most welcoming and useful “digital doorway” it can be.

Many thanks again.
