Food Chains: Third Documentary in the Human Rights Film Series

The Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project invites you and your students to a showing of the 2017 Human Rights Film Series final documentary.  Similar to the first two films, Food Chains addresses an issue currently discussed on both national and local levels- concern for the human rights of agricultural workers.

Food Chains examines the human cost in food production and the complicity of large scale buyers in perpetuating the inexcusable, dangerous working conditions for agricultural workers.  Carly Fox, of The Worker’s Justice Coalition will lend a local perspective, highlighting challenges for agricultural workers within the Western New York area.

Film: 52 minutes, Refreshments are provided.   Link to website and trailer:  https://www.foodchainsfilm.com/
