MCC's Culinary Competition


On Friday, March 21, 2003, MCC will hold its annual Culinary Competition for high school students.  Due to construction in the Student Center, the competition will be held at BOCES #2 - WEMOCO in Spencerport.  Twenty-one high school students from area Culinary Arts programs will be competing in Amuse, Soup/Salad and Entrée.  The theme for this year's competition is American Heritage.  The teams have chosen cuisines  such as Cuban, French, Southern and Hawaiian.  The competition will be judged by area executive chefs from Daisy Flour Mill, Jonathan's Choice, Wegmans, Genesee Valley Club and Cantisano Foods.  The cooking begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. and tasting begins at 11:00 a.m.  If you are in the neighborhood, please feel free to drop by!
