NYSUT Recognizes Charlie Clarke as Higher Education Member of the Year


New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) has named MCC Professor Charlie Clarke (Psychology) as a Higher Education Member of the Year. The award was made this past weekend in Washington, D.C. at the NYSUT Representative Assembly Convention. The award recognizes Clarke’s 39 years of service at MCC, including his longstanding membership and leadership of the MCC Faculty Association, and his leadership at the state and national union levels. Clarke has served as Faculty Association president since 2004 and as chief negotiator from 1984-2004. He has successfully negotiated eight contracts. He also directs the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project and teaches honors courses at MCC.
