10th Annual Building Services Invitational Golf Tournament

Thanks to the college community for another successful Building Services Invitational Golf Tournament.  This year we held our 10th annual tournament to benefit the Jefferson Avenue Childhood Development Center (JACDC) on August 1st at Twin Hills Golf course.  Since we had to cancel last year due to bad weather, we were hoping for good weather this year and low and behold, it was picture perfect.

Everything went as planned and the players were very generous towards JACDC.  We raised over $1,100 for this excellent organization.  The reason we did so well was because of our participants and volunteers.  We had many organizations donate towards our raffle and I wish to thank everyone for their generosity.  The Foundation donated some items including Buffalo Bills hat, autographed pictures, and monogrammed golf balls.  The MCC Bookstore donated a sports package that was very popular.  Twin Hills golf course donated a $50 gift certificate along with the usage of a utility cart so we could sell our own refreshments for the charity.  One of our vendors, Hillyard, donated golf shirts.

The event couldn’t have gone as well without our volunteers.   I would like to thank those who volunteered to facilitate the logistics of the tournament in providing refreshment services, ball spotting and the raffle process.  The day could not have worked out as well as it did without the players and the volunteers!  Their support was invaluable.

So, THANKS everyone for your generosity and your participation.  Let’s get ready for next year!
