Celebrate Alumni Week and Homecoming 2014!


We hope you will join us during MCC’s Alumni Week and Homecoming 2014 celebration hosted by the MCC Foundation in partnership with the Campus Activities Board.  We’ve planned a jam-packed schedule of events (listed below) and fun ways to connect with students, staff, alumni, and friends. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

Giddy on up to the Homecoming Carnival for a whooping and hollering good ol' time. Western-themed rides, games, food and much more!  Alumni, students, faculty and staff, family and friends will delight in the sights, sounds and aromas surrounding the Homecoming Carnival from 10 am – 2 pm.  Don’t miss the headline performance featuring ringmaster Michael DuBois and his solo circus at 12 noon. He’ll astound you with his amazing juggling feats and magic tricks!  Brought to you by CAB, First Year Experience, Creative Arts, and Housing and Residence Life and Student Life fee.

Friday, SEPTEMBER 26, is MCC Spirit Day! 

Wear black and gold and cheer on your favorite faculty members and our student-athletes as they go head to head in a basketball game on Monagan Court at noon. Come and cheer for your favorite player!

Homecoming Day, Saturday, SEPTEMBER 27

Fun for the entire family!  Bounce House!  Zumba Warm Up! Face Painting!  Photo Booth!  Participate in MCC’s 8th Annual 5K Walk/Run for Scholarships. MCC’s employees are leading the way by forming teams and seeking sponsorships! Join in the fun and help raise scholarship dollars for MCC students. Check in at 10 am, the walk/run starts at 11 am.  To register, use the attached brochure, visit us
online, or call 262-1500.  (Note: teams and team members must be registered by Wednesday, September 17).

Following the race, enjoy a delicious Tailgate hot buffet lunch in the gym; cheer on the MCC Tribunes as they face rivals in women’s and men’s soccer at 1 and 3 pm.

Saturday evening, a gala dinner will be held for alumni from MCC’s Alexander Street Campus as they gather to celebrate the 50th reunion of MCC’s first graduating class. 

Wednesday, OCTOBER 1

SEGA invites you to join MCC students, faculty, and staff for ice cream and cake at the Damon City Campus during college hour.

Thursday, October 2

Join Chef Gerry Brinkman, Michelle Bartell, and students from MCC’s Hospitality Management Department in the cooking lab from 6 - 8 pm for a relaxed and entertaining cooking demonstration and tasting session—complete with wine pairings presented by in-house expert David Boni.  Attendees will discuss various cooking techniques, ingredient selection, plate presentation, nutrition and menu planning.  Reserve your ticket today—this event sells out fast!
