DACUM Training Held at MCC


The Technical Education Division hosted a DACUM (Developing a Curriculum) Institute from August 10 – 14, 2009.  A team of 12 faculty and administrators successfully completed the training and have become Certified DACUM facilitators.  DACUM is a process that enables a specific job and task analysis to be completed for any given occupation. 

At last week’s Institute we were focusing on technician-level training in the Advanced Manufacturing industry.  Front line workers from industry are critical for the success of the program; last week’s session included operators, technicians and supervisors from many companies in the region, who participated in two days of intensive occupational analysis.  Those attending included DACUM facilitators and industry panelists:
