The Technical Education Division hosted a DACUM (Developing a Curriculum) Institute from August 10 – 14, 2009. A team of 12 faculty and administrators successfully completed the training and have become Certified DACUM facilitators. DACUM is a process that enables a specific job and task analysis to be completed for any given occupation.
At last week’s Institute we were focusing on technician-level training in the Advanced Manufacturing industry. Front line workers from industry are critical for the success of the program; last week’s session included operators, technicians and supervisors from many companies in the region, who participated in two days of intensive occupational analysis.
