Dr. Mary Ann DeMario Authors Article for National Policy Group
In August, Dr. Mary Ann M. DeMario (Institutional Research) was asked to write an article on Student-Parents for the bipartisan policy advocacy organization Higher Learning Advocates. A bipartisan non-profit organization located in Washington, DC, the organization "advocates for solutions to break down systemic barriers and support the success of today's students in their pursuit of education and skills development beyond high school. We advance federal policies that create transparent pathways to success, incentivize innovation, protect students and taxpayers, and improve student outcomes."
Insights and Outlooks is the organization's "online publication for views, voices and news from the leaders, reformers and students who are tackling major challenges and implementing creative solutions to better serve today's students." The September issue of Insights and Outlooks featured articles by five nationally recognized Student-Parent experts.
Mary Ann's article, "Student-Parents and the Opportunity to Support Multiple Generations of Families," is available here.
