Babitz Shares Insights on "Growing Giving" in Nation's Capital


Monroe Community College Foundation President Brenda Babitz presented the results of her “Growing Giving” research at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Fall Commission Meeting in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 17. Babitz was the only advancement officer to represent a community college at the exclusive, international-level meeting. Her report on “Growing Giving” was developed during a recent sabbatical.

CASE is the professional organization for advancement professionals at all levels who work in alumni relations, communications, and development. Its membership includes more than 3,250 colleges, universities, and independent elementary and secondary schools in 54 countries around the world. In recent years, CASE has reached out to community colleges to better understand their unique opportunities and challenges.

Babitz is a member of CASE’s Commission on Philanthropy and is scheduled to present nationally on community college advancement and “Growing Giving” during the upcoming year.
