TV News Segment Highlights MCC's Auto Tech Program

WROC recently aired a "Putting You First" segment focusing on the education, training and careers in skilled trades available in the Greater Rochester region. Employers were interviewed live and fielded calls from the general public about how individuals can gain skills and secure employment in these areas.

Brad McAreavy, president of the Rochester Automobile Dealers Association, talked about its successful partnership with MCC through the automotive technology co-op program in which students receive on-the-job experience at a local dealership. He said local employers in the industry rely on MCC's automotive tech degree program for graduates who can contribute immediately in the workplace.
