Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day:  Save the Date

Save the Date for our Annual “Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day” at Monroe Community College on Thursday, April 28th from 8am-3:30pm.  This event is sponsored by the MCC Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC).  Attendees will enjoy a day of engaging and educational activities!

This year’s theme is “Invent the Future.” There will be activities that engage youth in constructing the road ahead. This will take shape in many forms, such as an open discussion, role playing, or actual workshops that fuse Monroe Community College and the theme.  Guests need to be registered by April 4th, 2011.  Registration materials will be available March 25th, 2011.  The recommended ages of youth are from 8-18.  ***Children under 12 years of age should be escorted by a parent/guardian to and from events***

This year our guests will have the opportunity to spend one-on-one time with their guardian beginning at 3:30pm. This is an exciting opportunity for them to learn more about exactly what you do. However, we realize this may pose a challenge in some offices so we encourage you to plan accordingly.

Benefits to Pre-Registering your Guest(s) are:
·         Able to sign up for all workshops in advance!
·         Receive a FREE goodie bag!

More details to follow!  For any questions, feel free to contact Yolanda Johnson at x2176 or Brigitte Martineau at x2967.
