The Nursing Department is proud to announce that Lisa Denmark, a second year nursing student, is one of 20 healthcare students nationwide to be named a Frank Lanza Memorial Scholar by the American Association of Community Colleges and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Scholars were selected from associate degree programs in the fields of nursing, respiratory therapy, and emergency medical services and are recognized for outstanding academic and leadership accomplishments. Ms. Denmark is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and is the Vice President of Mentoring for the Student Nurses Association. She completed the MCC Mathematics Certificate this past August and continues to work full time while completing her nursing studies.
