FY22 Cyber Security Awareness Training

It's that magical time of year; October is Cyber Security Awareness Month!

We are launching the FY22 annual employee training on October 1 in compliance with MCC's Policy 4.4 Cyber Security Awareness and Education.

In recognition of the fact that 95% of our users have successfully completed their FY21 training, we are continuing the process with a brief ~15 minute Cyber Security Awareness course. This training will help you avoid falling victim to phishing emails. After that, the frequency of your training will be determined by whether or not you click on test phishing emails. You can minimize the training you need to take by being alert and not getting caught by the phishes.

Please be on the lookout for an email from the KnowBe4 system to invite you to take this required training course. (The from address will be: KnowBe4 on behalf of Monroe Community College SUNY. It will contain the warning banner that says it came from outside of MCC.)

KnowBe4 will continue to send out simulated phishing tests regularly so you can practice your skills. Remember, the safest action you can take when you receive a phishing email is to just delete it!

It is important that you complete this training before the deadline noted in your email, to prevent your password from being set to expire every 7 days.

Thank you for helping to keep our organization safe from cybercrime.
