The Teaching & Creativity Center’s Conversation topic for October is Building Your Critical Thinking Toolbox. These Conversations draw on Chapter 4 of Stephen Brookfield’s book, “Teaching for Critical Thinking.”
Wednesday, October 16 (12-12:50pm): DCC 5-091, facilitated by Lena Shiao (Education) and Renee Dimino (ESOL/TRS).
Wednesday, October 23 (12-12:50pm): Brighton 12-201, facilitated by Beth Wilson (Psychology).
Thursday, October 24 (3:30-4:30pm): Brighton 12-201, facilitated by Beth Wilson (Psychology).
We will focus on the introductory protocols for critical thinking, such as an assumption inventory and the scenario analysis technique. Feel free to attend even if you haven’t had a chance to read the chapter or weren’t able to attend the first conversation this semester. All faculty are welcome!
