McBride Wins Annual Scone Competition


On Wednesday, March 19, Mark McBride, Director, Library Services, claimed victory in the 11th Annual Scone Bake-Off with his Maple Oatmeal scones.

Other scone bakers included: Deb Alimentato, Curriculum and Program Development, Jeff Bartkovich, ETS, Cesar Cortes, Culinary Student, Bernie Duffy, Admissions, Janet Ekis, Marketing and Community Relations, Andrea Gilbert, ESOL/TRS, Susan Noonan, Advisement and Graduation Services, Jenny Petersen, Nursing, Karen Rheinheimer, Human Resources, and Paul Shilo, Communications and Network Services.

Judges included: Anne Kress, President, Pat Bates, Director, Purchasing, and Jerome St. Croix, Director, Financial Aid.

Donations totaled $200 to support the MCC Heart Walk April 12. Many thanks to all who participated!

Join the MCC Heart Walk to raise funds, to just walk, or to just donate. Employees can navigate to the Team page of Monroe Community College through myMCC on the Fit and Friendly Channel of the Employee Tab. Get your students involved in being fit and friendly!

Use a department/program existing activity as a fundraiser for the Heart Walk. For example, proceeds from the annual Scone Bake-off will go to the MCC Heart Walk Team.
