Report Phishing Emails in Outlook

Coming soon to your Outlook inbox will be an option to report phishing emails!  When you open or preview an email, you will see at the far right on your ribbon the option to do a Phish Alert Report..

How to use:

When you open an email or view it in the preview panel, click on Phish Alert Report if you suspect it is a phishing email.

A panel will open at the right asking “Are you sure you want to report this as a phishing email?” and it will list the subject and the sender above a Phish Alert button.

If you decide not to report the email – hit the ‘x’ in the upper right corner and continue reading your email as usual.

If you do want to report the email:

Click on the Phish Alert button.

A popup will thank you for reporting the email.

The phishing email will automatically be put in your Deleted Items folder.

NOTE!!  If you have clicked on anything within an email that you believe is phishing, call the Technology Support Line immediately!

To contact the Employee Technical Support Desk call 585-292-8324, option 3, M-F, 8:45am-4:45pm.
