Celtic Society Invites You to Screen TRISTAN & ISOLDE

On Wednesday, 27 February, please join MCC’s Celtic Society in 12-129 for a FREE screening of the 2006 film, TRISTAN & ISOLDE.

TRISTAN & ISOLDE retells the legend of Irish Princess Isolde (Sophie Myles) and Cornish knight, Tristan (James Franco), who are torn between their love for each other and their loyalty to King Marke of Cornwall (Rufus Sewell). Come see for yourself why this legendary love story, which has been told and retold throughout the centuries, continues to capture the contemporary imagination.

Throughout the spring semester, you can catch screenings and discussions of a number of Celtic-related films (each is free, is open to the community, begins at 6 p.m., and takes place in 12-129):
13 March,       FAR AND AWAY
10 April,          THE DECOY BRIDE
8 May,             GANGS OF NEW YORK Celtic Society’s purpose is to raise awareness of the Celtic Nations (Brittany, Cornwall, Galicia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland, Wales) and diaspora. It aims to share and celebrate Celtic culture with the college community. Celtic Society welcomes all students, faculty, and employees, regardless of their ethnic backgrounds.
