Dr. Oldham participates in ACCT and SHEEO panel discussion on Planning for a Changing Labor Market

On May 7, 2020, VP Oldham participated in the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) and State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO) panel discussion on Planning for a Changing Labor Market. This collaborative webinar series was designed to help state and institutional leaders anticipate and respond to relevant challenges facing higher education due to COVID-19. As labor markets shift due to COVID-19, recovery efforts will require new data analyses to identify in-demand sectors and align academic programs.

As part of the panel discussion, VP Oldham highlighted learnings from the EDIWS division's historic use of labor market information to inform program development and the division's recently published study titled the Future of the Technician Workforce. This was the first webinar scheduled in the series and was well attended with over 640 registrations.
