On March 5, MCC Foundation President Brenda Babitz and Director of Alumni and Planned Giving Mark Pastorella presented at the League of Innovation in the Community College’s Innovations Conference 2007 in New Orleans.
As part of the conference’s Resource Development and Foundation Management series, Babitz presented “Growing Giving Securing Private Support for Your Community College.” Pastorella presented “Publication Packages that Support Capital and Major Giving.” Together, Babitz and Pastorella presented “Building Foundation Accountability.”
The presentations provided conference attendees with innovative ideas to build a culture of philanthropy on campus and satisfy fiscal and programming accountability standards. The growing importance of philanthropy was also explored, using MCC Foundation success stories, such as the Building on Success campaign and alumni programs, as examples.
