MCC’s Celtic Society Wishes You a Happy Saint David’s Day!

Today, March 1, is St. David’s Day, a day of national celebration in Wales (Cymru). The Welsh commemorate their Celtic identity by holding parades, attending and performing in eisteddfodau (concerts featuring music, especially singing, and recitation), and wearing the daffodil or the leek, both national symbols. Dydd Gwyl Dewi hapus! Happy Saint David’s Day!

Celtic Society’s purpose is to raise awareness of the Celtic Nations (Brittany, Cornwall, Galicia, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland, Wales) and diaspora. It aims to share and celebrate Celtic culture with the college community.
