ESL 100 students learn about the B.E.ST. School and Pathways

Steve Palmer, from the School of Business & Entrepreneurial Studies (BEST), in collaboration with Anne Hughes, Career & Veterans Services, gave a presentation to the ESL 100 students at both the Brighton and Downtown Campus. Topics that were covered are; The Schools and Pathway models, programs within the School of Business & Entrepreneurial Studies, career and job opportunities, brief overview of Career Services, Transfer options, AAS vs. AS, Launch Your Business, "Hot jobs", Career Coach, Tutoring and Academic Assistance Center - TAAC, MyMCC app and website, and how students can get involved with clubs and organizations. The ESL 100 students were very receptive and had many questions during the presentation, which prompted in-depth discussion. We hope to continue this each semester, providing our ESL 100 students with helpful information and the opportunity to start their Pathway as soon as possible.
