Director of Planning Valarie Avalone has been invited to join the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Community College Advisory Group.
The advisory group was created in 2004 to provide guidance to the SCUP Board of Directors and to increase the profile of community college leaders in the society. The SCUP Community College Advisory Group has been instrumental in creating a themed issue on planning in community colleges for Planning for Higher Education, the society's journal. They have also increased the number and variety of sessions related to community college issues at regional and national events. Additional initiatives include community college focused workshops, presence at community college conferences and events, and the regular inclusion of community college news in the SCUP Email News Links.
