Need HELP?  ETS Technology Resources


As an employee of MCC, being productive and efficient in the use of technology is important.  We want to help you take advantage of the technology that surrounds you by highlighting a few ETS Technology resources that you can use immediately. 

The ETS Technology Training Program:  Technology Training “Just in Time…” is available to all faculty and staff.  This program provides technology training sessions throughout the entire year on a call to schedule basis.  Call or email the contact person listed at the end of each session to schedule a session.   For all your training needs, we encourage you to review the “Just in Time” Technology Training Catalog.  Login to myMCC  (from the MCC Web Page click on Employees and provide your MCC user name and password, then click the Secure Login Button).  Click on the Employee Tab, then in the Technology Services Channel on the left side of the Tab, click on the Technology Training Link.  The catalog is also attached to this message.  Paper copies of the catalog are available through the ETS Call Center (x4357)

If you are teaching in a technology-equipped classroom and need immediate support with the technology in the room, please dial AVAV (x2828) from the classroom telephone and follow the voice prompts.  Help will be on the way.  If you would like a personalized training session to gain confidence in the operation of equipment that is installed in MCC’s classrooms and lecture halls, please contact Philip Oettinger, ETS Instructional Technologies, (x 3439), to schedule a time for training.  Look at Track O: Classroom Technology of the attached “Just in Time” Technology Training Catalog to review a complete list of sessions available on classroom technology.

If you need technology support from your office location, we encourage you to call the ETS Call Center by dialing HELP (x4357).   From off campus, dial 292-2000 and at the voice prompt speak “Call Center”.   This service is provided by Educational Technology Services for use by only MCC Faculty and Staff.  Students should not be using the ETS Call Center for MCC technology support. 

Students should be directed to call 292-2055 for MCC technology support.  They can receive support for student e-mail, M & S drive login, and Angel login.  You may also direct students to stop into the Electronic Learning Center located on the first floor of Building 11 at Brighton Campus or within the Library on the fourth floor of Damon Campus for assistance in person.  Please help spread the word to students about this valuable resource.

Recently the Call Center has fielded many calls regarding resetting network passwords (a requirement every 6 months).   We no longer recommend the use of special characters in the creation of a network password.  Many special characters are not allowed by myMCC.  Please use the following criteria when it is time to reset your network password.

- 8 or more characters

- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lower-case letter
- At least one number
- Not similar to any past password used at MCC
- May not contain part of your name (i.e. JohnJohn001)
