DCC Lockdown Drill Results

On 11/25/13 the Department of Public Safety conducted a lockdown drill at the Damon City Campus. This drill was initiated to reinforce the safety practices that need to be followed during a lockdown.  It also served to increase the awareness and understanding of the emergency alert messages broadcast during a lockdown process.

The lockdown drill ran smoothly with compliance and participation by nearly all of the DCC community. The drill began at 0930 A.M. and concluded 8 minutes later. Most of those participants correctly sought shelter inside interior rooms and utilized steps to make their environment safer. Security personnel from Securitas also participated in the drill for preparation purposes should an entire building lockdown be needed.

Safety drills will continue in the future as an effort to keep you safe while at MCC. Your participation is always welcomed and very much appreciated. You can find more information on lockdown procedures at the
MCC Department of Public Safety website.
