Educational Technology Services will host the Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) webinar entitled, “Second Life in the Classroom” on Thursday, March 13 from 10:00-11:00am in room 3-117.
The rubber is starting to hit the road in virtual worlds. It is time to get past experimentation and see how real life educators are utilizing virtual environments to connect with students. Come join Second Life evangelist Larry Dugan for a look at some best practices across the virtual plane. This webinar is for those who are seriously thinking about getting your students involved in virtual projects. What are the benefits? What are the pitfalls? More importantly, what are the best practices to date? This technology is very new and the research is still out, but there will be some preliminary findings from educators across the grid.
