Welcome These New Employees


Our welcome of new employees concludes:

Crystal Myers is resident director for Tribune Hall responsible for programming for the Housing and Residence Life Office.  Crystal, a former resident director at Alfred University, earned her M.A. in education and her B.A. in psychology and early childhood/childhood education from Alfred University.

Christopher Perri is an instructor in the English/Philosophy Department.  Christopher earned a M.F.A. from Norwich University at Vermont College and a B.A. from SUNY Geneseo.  Chris has been an adjunct since 2004 and is a reading enrichment instructor for the Institute of Reading Development.

Dianna Phillips is the dean of technical education.  Dianna earned a Ph.D. from SUNY Buffalo, a M.S. from Buffalo State and a B.B.A. from National University.  Dr. Phillips is a seasoned academic administrator and leader with over ten years experience working with technical education and workforce development.  As Director of the Center for Workforce Development at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES, she provided leadership and operational direction for a staff of 65 individuals in four divisions with a budget of $4 million.  

Caren Pita is an instructor in the English/Philosophy Department.  Caren earned a M.F.A. from George Mason University and a B.A. from the University of Rochester.  Caren has been an adjunct since 2004 and previously was an ACE instructor for the Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia.

Thomas Priester is program coordinator in the Campus Center.  Tom comes to us from SUNY Fredonia where he was the residence hall director and instructor in the Campus Life Leadership Development Program.  Tom earned his M.S. in student personnel administration and his B.S. in Secondary English Education from SUNY Fredonia.

Ralph Privitere is the program coordinator/lecturer for the fire/rescue program at the Public Safety Training Facility.  Ralph earned a B.S. from SUNY Brockport and recently retired from the Rochester Fire Department after 26 years, serving as executive fire chief.  During his tenure with the Rochester Fire Department, Ralph became a hazardous materials technician, a confined space rescue technician and a New York State fire service instructor.

Emily Putnam is an instructor in the Mathematics Department.  Emily earned a M.S. at the University of Utah and B.A. from San Francisco State University.  While at San Francisco State, she worked with a summer bridge workshop in pre-calculus for incoming minority students. She later taught after-school mathematics workshops in high schools with low student performance.  Emily has been an 80 percent instructor here since 2004.

Tiffany Ramos is a senior account clerk in our Accounting Department.  She has an associate’s degree in Occupational Sciences from Rochester Business Institute and she previously worked at Greece Central School District.

Mary Ranghelli is a clerk in our Facilities Department.  Her previous employer was Monroe County Social Services.

Kristen Reed is a buyer in the Purchasing department.  Kristen has an A.S. degree in Business Administration from MCC and was previously employed at the University of Buffalo.
