Blood Drive Continues TODAY

One more day to help save a life!

Day 2 of our 2-day Blood Drive sponsored by the MCC Student Government Association is TODAY.

Walk-ins are welcome!

The blood supply for type O negative, type B negative, type A negative and type O positive are at extremely low levels! All eligible donors are urged to make an appointment to donate blood now!

The unseasonably warm weather has been enjoyed throughout the region.  But the beautiful weather has resulted in lower than anticipated turn outs for blood drives and the blood supply has dropped to extremely low levels.  Out of an estimated 38% of the population that is eligible to give blood, only about 8% actually donates.  Each day, more than 38,000 blood donations are needed in the U.S.

We have been asked to increase our outreach to all donors of all blood types, and especially for types O negative, B negative , A negative and O positive to help boost the local blood supply and ensure that blood is available for patients in need. All presenting donors in the month of April are eligible to enter for a chance to win a new iPad, as well as a daily raffle for a $50 gift card!
