Census Day at MCC: Wednesday March 10, 11 AM to 1 PM

MCC is helping to support the US CENSUS 2010 efforts by informing the college community about the importance of the US Census. Did you know the US Census is required by the Constitution to take place every ten years? The 2010 Census will help communities receive more than $400 billion in federal funds each year for things like education, transportation, public safety and emergency preparedness. The data collected by the Census also helps determine the number of seats states have in the US House of Representatives.

To provide important educational information to students about the US Census, information tables will be set up at the Brighton and Damon City campuses on March 10th from 11 AM to 1 PM. At the Damon City Campus, the table will be in the 4th floor main lounge area; the table will be near the Bookstore at the Brighton Campus.

Program activities will include trivia questions, giveaways, why the Census is important tip cards, and learning about job opportunities within the US Census. Join us for a group photo at 12:15 PM at the information table locations.
