Due to the card reader system that will be in place beginning September 7th on the MCC Shuttle buses, it was recently discovered that some of the “older generation" of faculty/staff ID cards may not be functional to board the bus when they are swiped through the reader. The new readers require a valid M# in place, and the initial cards that were issued did not use this type of identification. Therefore, we are alerting you to this fact to provide you with an opportunity to visit the Photo ID office on both the Brighton and Damon campuses on several different dates in the next two weeks to have your card checked and updated, if needed.
The Photo ID Offices on both campuses will be open for extended hours for faculty and staff on the following dates for this purpose:
Brighton Photo ID, open on these dates from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.:
-- Friday, August 27
-- Tuesday, August 31
-- Friday, September 3
-- All College Day, Thursday, September 2nd, from 11:45 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Damon Campus Photo ID, open on these dates from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.:
-- Friday, August 27
-- Monday, August 30
-- Tuesday, August 31
-- Thursday, September 2
-- Friday, September 3
There will be no charge if a replacement card is needed. Additionally, if we still have your information in our system, a new photo is not required. If not, please be prepared to take a photo for your new card the day you visit.
Please note that updating your card will only take a minute. However, in view that we may have to verify a large number of faculty and staff ID cards to ensure they are functional, you may experience a brief waiting time.
