MCC Reading Courses

The Transitional Studies Department at MCC is pleased to offer a new college-level reading course, REA 101, College Literacy and Reading.  This three-credit general elective is open to students who placed into English 101 in their first semester or completed the TRS language sequence.

Currently, REA 101 is listed on SIS 105 screen for Summer and Fall 2005.  The course is offered on the Brighton and Damon City campuses.

In addition, TRS 104, a developmental reading course, has been renamed REA 100, Reading Strategies; and TRS 103, an intermediate level reading/writing course, is now writing-specific.

For more information about these changes or about the courses themselves, contact either of the Language Committee co-chairs, Terry Shamblin or Julie Damerell.
